Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1: Fly to Pemba

Take the domestic flight and meet your island driver. Transfer through the green interior to the selected lodge, with the first afternoon kept free.

  2. Day 2: Pemba orientation

Explore nearby communities, a clove-growing area or forest with a local guide, choosing experiences supported by the lodge and current season.

  3. Days 3-4: Marine days

Plan snorkelling, diving or a boat outing according to certification, ability, sea conditions and operator availability. Non-divers can keep both days for beach, kayaking or land-based exploration.

  4. Day 5: Island at leisure

Hold a full buffer day for rest or an activity postponed by weather. Remote-island trips work best when the itinerary is not overfilled.

  5. Day 6: Pemba departure

Transfer to the airport for the domestic flight. Indigo avoids tight same-day international connections because island weather and schedules can change.
