Day-by-day itinerary
- Day 1: Arusha welcome
Arrive and discuss expectations for community visits, photography consent and appropriate gifts or purchases. The goal is a hosted exchange rather than a staged checklist.
- Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Spend the day around Tarangire’s river and baobab landscapes before continuing to a lodge outside the park.
- Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Eyasi
Travel through the Rift Valley and farming highlands to Lake Eyasi. Meet the local host, walk near the lake or village and learn how seasonal conditions shape livelihoods.
- Day 4: Lake Eyasi community morning
Begin early with an activity arranged through local partners, which may involve foraging knowledge, craft, farming or a market depending on the day. Continue to Karatu after lunch.
- Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
Descend to the crater floor for a private game drive and picnic, then return to the highlands for the night.
- Day 6: Manyara or Mto wa Mbu
Choose a Lake Manyara game drive or a more locally focused Mto wa Mbu experience based on interests and current conditions, then return to Arusha.
