1. Full day: Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

   Transfer to Marangu Gate, register and hike with a licensed guide through humid montane forest toward Mandara Hut. Eat a packed lunch, continue to a nearby viewpoint if time and weather permit, then descend the same trail and return by road.
